ไม้พุ่มขนาดเล็ก สูง 50-120 ซม. ใบ เดี่ยว รูปขอบขนาน กว้าง 7-10 มม. ยาว 10-30 มม. โคนใบสอบเรียว ปลายใบมน ขอบใบเรียบ ท้องใบมีขนนุ่ม ก้านใบยาว 2-3 มม. ดอก สีเขียว ถึงสีครีม ออกเดี่ยวตามซอกใบ ก้านดอกยาว 5-7 มม. กลีบรองดอก 5 กลีบ ยาว 7-8 มม. กลีบดอกเชื่อมกันเป็นหลอดรูประฆัง ยาว 2-2.5 ซม. ปลายพับออกเป็น 5 แฉก เกสรผู้ 5 อัน อยู่ภายใน หลอดดอก เกสรเมีย 1 อัน ปลายแยกเป็น 2 แฉก ผล เป็นผลสด รูปกระสวย มีกลีบเลี้ยงติดอยู่ที่ฐาน เมล็ด 2-4 เมล็ด
Small shrub, 50-120 cm high. Leaves simple, oblong, 10-30 mm long by 7-10 mm wide, pubescent on lower surface; base cuneate; apex obtuse to rounded; margin entire; petiole 2-3 mm long. Inflorescence solitary, axillary. Flowers green or creamy-yellow; calyx 5, 7-8 mm long; corolla 5, campanulate, lobes curved outward; stamens 5, included; style 1, with bifided stigma; pedicel 5-7 mm long. Fruit fleshy, spindle shaped with persistent calyx. Seeds 2-4.
พบในเมียนม่าห์ ทางภาคเหนือ และภาคตะวันตกของประเทศไทย ตามป่าดิบแล้งและป่าผลัดใบ ที่ระดับความสูง 100-500 เมตร ออกดอกและติดผลช่วงเดือน กรกฏาคม-ตุลาคม
Myanmar and in northern and western Thailand, in dry evergreen and deciduous forests at elevations of 100-500 m. Flowering and fruiting July to October.
